Hotel Botticelli loves to be inspired by her name-giver, painter Sandro Botticelli. One of his most famous works ‘The Birth of Venus’ can be admired in the Uffizi-gallery in Florence and simultaneously forms the inspiration for the decor of the hotel. Warm colors, soft pastels, like an Italian sunrise, cover the walls of each room. Additionally, we furbished the hotel and rooms with Italian furniture. Replica’s of famous paintings, likewise seen in the ‘Battistero San Giovanni’ chapel in Florence are used on the walls and off course you’ll find paintings inspired by Sandro Botticelli. His actual name is Alessandro Filipepi, but since he loved Italian food so much, resulting in a large waistline, he got nicknamed Botticelli, meaning ‘barrel’.
Unfortunately, we must ask you to take your faithful four-legged friend (and/or other pet) elsewhere during your trip. Despite our love for these little animals, they are not allowed in the hotel. We hope for your understanding.
